While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I don't use my LX200 Classic since a very long time. This is the scenario:
suddenly it stopped working, while in the mid of a session. I lighted it
on again, but:
2) pressing one of the key made it stop;
3) there was no tracking;
4) after having the keypad pressed, the scope didn't accept any command no
more (i.e., it stayed in the position it stopped);
5) the keypad didn't exhibit any error.
I searched all the MAPUG archive, but I didn't find any behaviour similar
to the one I described. The Italian dealer asked for about US$1500 to get
it fixed, so I'm wondering if there is a cheaper (and more honest,
maybe...) way to repair it.
Any hint would be greatly appreciated!
Clear skies,
Fabio
