That's a mighty deep cave ;)
Haven't you heard about how webcams have revolutionized planet imaging?
(See the QCUIAG yahoo group- 7000 members). The Toucam pro webcam at
about $130 is the best for this. Made by Phillips, the big electronics
maker, but if you get one from Scopetronix or Astrovid you can get a
1.25" adapter with it for $160 total.
Then get Registax to align/stack a few hundred frames, apply the
included "wavelets" filters, and you'll have an image that can't be
beat by anything short of the Hubble, a space probe, or a few million
dollars worth of adaptive optics technology.
