What Ed said. Give Meade a call first. Also, if you do not get an answer
you like, call back and try again with another Tech. Sometimes you will get
different answers...one disavows any knowledge and the next will fix you
right up. Maybe even try two or three times and pick the answer you
like...with a related RMA number of course for back up.

You could also give www.telescopeservice.com a look and see what they have
to offer. We have heard good things about them, but they have a tendency to
not take more work than they can handle at one time...which also may be a
good thing.

I have a LX200 CLassic 12" that I would like to send to Meade for service.
It has totally dead electronics (pops fuses in power supply) and has had
severe condensation inside the optical tube.

Do they still service the LX200 Classic for $600?

Will theyt send me a shipping container or do I use the original one?

Anyone have any recent experience with Meade Service with a LX200 Classic?
