While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Agree that at least half the fun is in building it. The "feel" that one has
for CCD cameras once it is completed makes the effort well worth while.
ANYONE can complete a CB245. It was the very first electronics project I ever
undertook and the book is well-written enough that I successfully completed
every step (actually many of the instructions are contained on the
accompanying disks). One learns enough about electronics that now, I have
designed and completed several other projects myself. Another thing to
examine while you are thinking about this camera (along with Berry's Cookbook,
is The Art and Science of CCD Astronomy, edited by David Ratledge (see
Amazon.com), which contains several short chapters oriented to the CB245.
