While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I am trying to run an 8" LX200 from a laptop. I have connected the
cable to the scope per the manual and cannot get any response.

I've checked and double checked the wiring between the 6 line connector
and the 9 pin connector. I've even run the program with the cable
disconnected from the computer and checked connector pins 3 and 5 at teh
computer to see if any mA's were evident (which there was which
indicates to me that something is being sent to the scope.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the test program in
the users manual running in Qbasic. Does it work? Why does the program
print for example #:Mw# to move west when the discription of the
commands for the scope says :Mw#?

I'm going back to see if I've typed any code incorrectly. Man, this is
frustrating.
