While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

Ok.. I'll rephrase the question.
The primary focus knob, through its full length of travel
seems to bind slightly once each full revolution of the knob.
Several websites discuss poor distribution of the grease on the
internal mechanism but I've found none that discuss how to
remedy the situation. I try to use the motofocus, but I cant seem
to lock in a sharp focus without it drifting back out - so I end up
taking the focuser off and hand tuning it - then it still drifts back
out after a minute or so. The SCT is just over a year old, with
very little use until I got it (just sitting in the box).
