While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
On most nights when observing from the Buffalo State Park area 16
miles east of Moorhead, I have been able to quite easily see the 7.2
and 7.4 comparison stars for 1544+28 R CrB. I don't use Bilberry
Juice, drink alcohol or use illegal drugs. Averted vision is what I
always use - the best area seems to be (when using my right eye)
noseward and a bit down from my center (is that called FOV?). I've
occasionally seen a 17.2 comp star in my Meade LX200 ten-inch f/6.3 in
the UV Per sequence.
The thing is I don't think most observers bother to become completely
dark adapted. I take many steps to protect my eyes.
