Michael, and Bob,
In light of wearing my scientist hat I set up a very generic test to see if changing
the adapter to unit 1 would solve the problem. Tested with target id 0, 1, 3, 4, 6
and adapter set to 1 in PICTOR.INI. There is no change in behaviour, except that
when set to adapter 1 and no CD-ROM installed, the SCSI manager cannot find the
device at all.

I was pretty sure that this would be the case, because I was fairly certain I knew
what setting the adapter to 1 actually did. But completeness is important. Thanks
for the suggestion. And again, please keep them coming!
