Fellow LX200 Owners,

"I have a question that Ive wanted to ask since for along while now...
I am
seeking "something" (book, etc...) (preferably "Book" for taking outside
w/
scope) that will allow me when I am showing objects in my 12" LX200 SCT
to
friends & neighbors & family information that I can tell them about each
object that they are viewing."

One more entry to the very good list of suggestions is one I find very
usefull for public viewing is "Sky Atlas 2000.0 Companion" by Robert
Strong from Sky Pub. It is an abreviated companion to the Sky Atlas
2000.0 for non-stellar objects. Its in a ring binder and alphabetically
arranged with cross references. The Ring Nebula (that couldnt be left
out of a Ring Binder could it?) )for example is listed also as M57 and
NGC6720.
It lists the chart reference in the Atlas, Type of object and
Classification, Position, Dimensions, Magnitude and Constellation. A
very brief description adds size and distance. It is decidedly brief and
therefore ideal when there are fifty people in line and we need to be
brief too.
Good Luck,
Eric S
