While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I've recently been taking piggy-back shots with various 35mm camera
lenses mounted on the 416. This works very well with the exception that
any bright stars in the image bloom very easily (15-20 sec). My solution
has been to stack many short exposure images to get a longer exposure,
but this produces it's own problems with reduced S-N ratio.

The anti-blooming feature on 6.4 appears to be of little practical use,
and the help file is less than helpful about how it's supposed to work.
Selecting a value of 100 as a starting value seems to cause the control
box to take multiple exposures of different values but doesn't actually
produce an image on the screen.

So how does it work (does it work?).

Chris
