While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
This may be more an issue for the SBIG list, but since I'm not currently
subscribing to that (I get too much email as it is) I thought I would
run this by the collective astro - enlightenment of MAPUG.
I have a ST-7 and seem to have a problem. Any time I do a longer
exposure, I get one part of the image brighter than the other part. I
have uploaded an image of M20 taken tonight with my 10" LX200 with a 500
second exposure. I did a dark frame subtraction, but no other
processing, other than converting it to a JPG in Photoshop.
Take a look at:

This line does not always occur at the same location. The CCD temp was
at +2 C with the cooler at about 85%.
I don't know what is causing this, or how to fix it. Any ideas would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris Vedeler
