While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have a new...well, almost 2 months old 8" LX-200 and I noticed tonight
that one the scope was not accurate like it was the night before. I set
everything up the same, same the WWV time sevice and all but I was alway off
in RA when I tried to slew to something else after the initial alignment
star in polar mode....about 1/3 the width of the finderscope FOV.

Then I noticed that when the scope slewed west or I pressed the "W" key that
the motor makes a pulsating sound and the power LEDs lights the FULL back of
LEDS and pulses. If I press "E" then it worls and sounds fine with 3-4 bars
lite! Anyseen or heard of this?

I guess I need to call MEADE in the AM and see about my warrenty.

Mack
