The ADORAMA catalog lists a tilt plate that "has a range of 0 to 70
[degrees] for use on any C8 wedge or standard 11" wedge." The listed
price is $44.95. It is for a Celestron wedge, but it might be possible
to modify a Celestron wedge and this tilt plate to take a Meade rather
than trying to build one from scratch. Of course, this arrangement
would frustrate those frozen observers who live above 70 degrees
latitude, but it might satisfy the equatorials.
