Either you get fantastic images of the planets with a beautifully collimated
telescope, or , if your telescope is a little bit out of alignment, you don't
The procedure for collimating your telescope only taces 1 or 2 minutes. If
you know that you r 'scope is out just a teeny bit, You should really be
ashamed of yourself for not collimating it properly.
If it is a teeny bit out, Your wonderfully crisp images of Saturn were not
crisp. And you have enough earning capacity to get yourself to the south of
France and not enough capacity to collimate your instrument constitutes
'telescope abuse' and you have lost a really good oppertunity to See Saturn.
Learn to collimate. It only takes one round or two to improve your telescope.
That last little, teensey weensey bit makes a LOT of difference.
Then Saturn will be crisp like you have never known.
