All Foggy eyed early in the moring getting up for work after a 2nd Nite
of
observing from the front gates of Palomar Mountain. Last nite driving
up
to the top of Palomar with the windshield wipers on, all the while
screaming inside " I HOPE it's CLEAR on top!". At 5000 feet the Clouds
broke and I almost drove off the road (for the 2nd time!!). The Comet
is
EASY naked eye visible with a forked tail that stretched past Arcturus (
of wich it was directly under approx 7degrees the nite before ). I've
decided the best way to tell everyone where the comet is, is to tell
them
to look up and when they see the bright fuzzy thing with the tail...
THAT"S IT! For any here who have been debating whether or not to
abandon
the keyboard and go check this comet out? It is a MUST, This just May
be
the brightests Comet of our lives. Oh yeah used the 8"LX 200 to guide
the
piggybacked Nikon F3 with the 100mm f2.8 lens using Fuji 800 print...
Can
it get any better? ( okay okay astrophysics owners I wasn't talking to
you) <G>..

Go SEE the COMET!!
Clear Dark Skies,
