Since manually moving the LX200 to different parts of the sky will
destroy any set up alignments, how will this work on the LX50 with which
that is the only option?. I presume that the LX200 computer makes the
necesary adjustments in star position for the time for the scope to slew
to the new positon, how will this fare with the Magellan and the LX50,
since the speed of manual slewing will be variable and because of the
lack of high precision pointing it might take a wee while to fully
centre the target at the eyepiece?

Regards

Gary
