I think that this eyepiece.. the 56mm Plossl is the WORST I own.. I cannot disagree with you more..
The only nice thing about it is that if you manage to find the view, you will find it sharp almost to the edge, and of course, a nice..wide, field. Try to get M65 and M66, and the NGC nearby, they are very easy.
HOWEVER, You have got to be kidding me.. I can hardly keep my head still enough to keep the view in place.. If you move too close, you lose it, if you move too far back, the view shrinks suddenly. (This mind you, with an F/10 8" LX200) While this is common with Plossl's and most eyepieces in general - just compare that to the excellent 26mm Plossl that Meade supplies with the LX200, it is almost impossible to lose the view.. And my 35mm Panoptic (too expensive) has almost the same field of view, and almost none of the above problem...the view is there, easy to find.

YES, too faint visually, but perhaps not photographically...
Does anyone have any information on a low power eyepiece that does not suffer from this limited view problem which I am finding with the 56mm????????
