Well I've finally gone and done it. I travelled down to London at the
end of last week and ordered a 10inch F10 LX50. I was told I had a
50/50 chance of getting it before Christmas but would most likely get it
in January. GOD AM I EXCITED. Can anyone at Meade tell me if these
delivery dates are optimistic and if they are can they give me a more
realistic time scale for scopes shipped to the U.K. I do not intend to
use the MA25 eyepiece that comes with the scope and I'm dithering
between the SP 26mm and the SWA 24.5mm. The SWA will give me a bigger
field of view at a higher mag ( and a higher price!). I would appreciate
some advice on which one to go for. I also believe the star diagonal
supplied uses a prism whereas the 2inch diagonal uses a mirror and that
mirrors are better than prisms. What does that mean in terms of
viewing ? an increase in contrast?, brighter images?
