Yup...I also run my 8" LX200 with a CElestron C-5 plus ST4 guider in
Losmandy rings and dovetail, and a 2 pound CCD camera on the LX200 using
the JMI ngfs focuser, plus a few odds and ends in addition. Plus, added
weights for balancing of about 10 pounds.... No observable effects of all
this weight. With balancing the current drain does not appear to change.
