Note: though this program was written for CB245 CCD cameras owners, it
should operate with any sofware producing single plane FITS files with
intensity information coded as integers, as is probably the case with
Meade cameras.

A new version (1.20) of FITSPIC, a FITS to WinMIPS format converter,
compatible with most ccd camera acquisition software, is available on
my homepage at:

http://www.Geocities.com/Paris/3293

Also provided there are links to Christian Buil's WinMIPS and QMIPS32.
Those two CCD acquisition and image processing programs have recently
been released to the public domain by Christian Buil and have a lot of
processing power.

Version 1.20 has the following features:

- FITS to ".PIC" conversion for FITS files produced by CB245 programs
211PLUS, 245PLUS, Win245, and probably other software for other
cameras.

- Single or multiple files processing

- Compatibility with either ".FTS" or ".FIT" extensions

- Optional smart renumbering for WinMIPS batch processing features.

- Optional autoscaling of intensities found in the image for direct
viewing in WinMIPS.

- Integration of most FITS header information into ".PIC" comment
fields

- Optional backup of processed FITS files, that will be moved to a
subdirectory named after date of observing, computed from noon to
noon.

Next version (1.30) should provide:

- Optional export of FITS file header to a text file.

- PkZip archiving of original FITS images
