I myself am very interested in Daytime viewing.. I am considering an LX200
partially because of this reason. If I leave it on so that the overnight
setup is saved..and leave it pointing at Polaris, will that work so that it
can stay on all day? That is, when I get home in the afternoon during
sunlight after leaving pre-dawn, will I be able to "go to" Venus, Jupiter,
Vega, etc.?
By the way,, I noticed Venus IS barely still visible to the naked eye midday, but is losing it. However, in 10x70 it is a very distinct crescent, and in 7x50s it is also crescent shaped, but not quite as distinct. How about that! Does anyone know if it will be actually visible daylight at inferior conjunction on Nov. 2?? Since it is 5.5 degrees under the sun at that time, I assume it may be possible.
