I think the damage to my system board WAS CAUSED by low voltage. I
have used the Meade 12-18 volt converter for a 18 months with great
luck until the a few weeks ago the battery got too low. I was pushing my
luck by using the battery so long without recharging it and finally
damaged my system board. Meade says that a low battery should only
caused a blown fuse. I think that the extra current drawn caused
excessive heating and because the day was also hot the heat wasnt
dissipated as efficiently as normal. The system board was the victim.
