I do not have either of these lenses but I do have the Tele Vue 40mm. I am
quite impressed with the sharpness of the images and particularly like to
use this lens for open clusters and extended objects. I routinely use this
lens, which is quite heavy, with a 2" Tele Vue star diagonal. I have never
used any counter weights and have always had excellent pointing accuracy.
Go ahead, take the plunge. These lenses are expensive, but well worth the
money!
