Missing smart drive on 16 " <I think another reason the smart drive is only done at the factory is <because the focal length is 4064mm and the diamter is more subseptable <to atmospheric disturbance than the other LX200's. The periodic error is huge on our 16 " telescope, far more than atmospheric disturbance, increasing to several arcminutes within one hour. So , we somehow feel out-trixed by smaller telescopes. Scott has investigated this, for me it looks like a bug, but Meade does not seem interested in correcting it. Meade still claims, their fixed programming is better than anything else. Best greetings, Mogens Winther
