Just a quick question regarding telescope drift, in light of the recent discussions.

If telescope drives are crystal controlled (as most are these days) how does a 2 arc-second drift per minute, when compared to the sidereal rate of 15 arc-seconds per second, which is roughly 1 part in 500, represent "well within spec"? One would think you would get drift accuracy on the order of the crystal frequency error/stability which is much better than 1 part in 500.

What did I miss?
