Here are the FK5 positions for the 33 alignment stars for equinox and epoch J2000. FK5 is the catalogue upon which all other star positions are based. 31 of the alignment stars are in FK5, the other two (recognisable by reduced precision) are from the PPM Catalogue (Positions and Proper Motions - effective successor to the SAO Catalogue). The data were obtained by searching from the positions given in the Meade CDS manual (V2.5 so only given to 0.1 min in RA) in the online catalogues in the ESO/ST-ECF/CADC Starcat database. The software gives the displacement in arcsecs of each object from the centre of the search field. This is given in the error column. The only significant errors in this list are *165 (already reported by Ralph Pass) and maybe Polaris. The proper motions in both coordinates are in arc seconds/year. I have also included V magnitude (all agree with the Meade list except Enif) and spectral type from the catalogues. The order is the same as the Meade list, ie alphabetic by name.
