In my opinion, and hope others will chime in here, the LX-200 is nothing short of superb optically. A few weeks ago I was out with my Astrophysics Starfire and the 8" LX200. This StarFire is a pretty special scope using exotic glass at 5.6" f/7 - Saturn views were stunning at 400X. The LX200 view was darned near the same til about 300X ! It degraded when we got near 400X but was still a great view ... and thats comparing a megabuck, hand-made refractor with a commercial SCT on Planetary viewing !!! Deep-sky views are stunning !

In sumary, I'm 150% pleased with my 8" lx200 in terms of optical performance. How about the rest of you ?
