Well, many of you know that I've been bulging at the seams in terms of space at the Meade Advanced Products User Group (MAPUG) ftp site. I recieved so many wonderful offers from people to help out, both with funds and disk-space. Thank you all for your generous offers. But, my goal is to keep this all free, without cash donations.

Daniel Segel, has made an offer that is simply too good to pass-up. He is a MAPUG subscriber and has a NetCom account. Daniel offered let us build a symbolic link to his ftp space and use it for the PICTOR images. Daniel and I did the required set-up this afternoon and you will now find another directory at the Netcom ftp site. The beauty of this solution is that it is almost transparent. The PICTOR directory, while belonging to Daniel, appears to be a subdirectory in my ftp space. Wonderful solution, thank you Daniel !

So you can ftp to either: ftp.netcom.com - or - ftp2.netcom.com

and then cd /pub/as/astrorcf/PICTOR/IMAGES

To return to my ftp site you will cd to either "astrorcf" or "LX-200". If you "cd ..", you will be going up into Daniels ftp site. This is the only part that isn't seamless.

I've only been able to get one of the images from Steven site so far. But Steven and I had a good chat this afternoon and after he gets some sleep he's going to send me the images. I'll post here when they have arrived.

If you've already got them, feel free to drop them into my incoming directory at the anove listed ftp site.
