Polish the legs with chrome polish. I use the Turtle Wax brand. It has kept
the legs on my 14-year old Meade (as well as my 3-year old LX-200) in fine
shape. It contains a rust remover (ammonia based) as well as a wax. Twice a
year is enough for here in Florida (where it's very damp).
