Hello, I have been reading this list for a while because I am looking for a high-quality scope for my ST6 imaging, and I am leaning strongly toward the LX-200 12".

But I am wondering about the 6" APO refractor from Meade. Does anyone have experience with both these scopes, to compare?

1. Does the 152 ED with the #1697 computer drive perform about the same as the LX-200 series?

2. Do the flat field and high contrast of the refractor compensate for its lower theoretical resolution and light grasp, compared to the LX-200 12", with regard to CCD applications only?

3. Is the refractor focal length too short for the ST6 pixel size? I calculate 3.7 arcseconds per pixel for the 6" f/9, and 2.7 arcseconds per pixel for the 12" f/10 with a 6.3 focal reducer.
