I have exactly the same problem but when syncing my 12in LX200.
It is as if the scanning rate of the keyboard drops. That is the time
the computer takes to look at each key to see if it has been pressed
or not.In fact a careful analysis over other functions shows that
this in my case appears to be true. There are other cases where
the same key is tricky and yet the same key again can be easy to
use in another function. There definitely are differences between
keypads and the amount of effort you have to put in to either
get a key to activate properly mechanically or the amount of time
and patience you have to have to ensure success.I can not repeat
the amount of curses that I have made when I have inadvertently
forgotten to press the mode key after a slew to get the keyboard
fully functional again so that the shift functions on the keyboard
start working again Ie Focus or reticle brightness etc.
