Subject: Meade 12 mm MA illum. ret. light leakage

I just bought an old Meade 12 mm illuminated reticle
eyepiece. I can tell already that there could be a light
leakage problem. The LED, besides shining through the
reticle, also shines through a small gap directly back down
the barrel toward the off-axis guider and camera. I seem to
remember someone mentioning this previously. Any
recommendations on correcting this?
