I have a 12mm reticle and the LX200. I also have a JMI focuser. Both are
driven off of the panel. I have no problems just plugging it in and using
the arrow keys to change the illumination level or the focus. There is no
magic startup sequence. If you are in telescope mode, they ought to work
when the ret button is pressed and held or the focus button is pressed and
held.
