Currently I have only obtained and used 1.5 inch Meade series 4000
eyepieces. I am really satisfied with them but I hear (read) many
opinions of different eyepieces both in the 1.5 and 2 inch sizes. I
understand that if you have just paid 2 to 3 hundred dollars for an
eyepiece it "will look better" to you. Is there really a noticeable
difference in these different eyepieces and physical sizes? Will I
"actually" gain by spending more. I've been told by some to stay with
eyepieces with fewer lens segments because of the lower light loses
and then someone else will counter that something like the Nagler is
better. Is there a difference with the 2 inch diagonal verses the 1.5
in diagonal. My LX200 is a 10" F10 and I just wonder if by putting a
2" diagonal and eyepiece on it I would be doing the same as putting a
dump truck bead on a mini truck. It would look different but not
actually be as usable.
