.if anyone is deciding between buying a 10"sct or the meade 7" mak, there is

Actually, I have to differ with you here. I LOVE the idea of the star images
the 7" is producing, and obtained the
same with a 6" Intes. However, many members of this list who have done side
by sides..indicate that for most objects, the 10" does better than the MAK.
Globulars are MUCH better in the 10.
Other than perfect high power star images, and planetary work, deep sky
looks better with 10" scopes that have decent optics. Personally, I might
very well choose the 7" over the 10, if I had only one scope to choose
from.. but there IS a contest, it is a tough choice, and depends on the
needs of the observer.
