The STOP command is another GOTO, sent before the "look now" beep. The
GOTO command is available via RS232 (:MS#), so a slew can be also stopped
remotely.
Been there, done that - trying to do a "backlash sensitive" slew, I would
command a slew to a fake object to the left of the intended object, then
to the object. If the two commands are done too fast, the telescope
doesn't move, doesn't beep, and you're in debug mode.
