The second approach would be to shorten the legs and keep the base dimensions the same by changing the tension spider. With a lowered CG, the steadiness might stay the same. Ive got to work this out first.
One reply said the legs are a press fit into the top hinge fittings. Is a glue or loc-tite type of compound used? Would a little heat on the end fittings and cold on the legs break things loose? Has anyone worked on the tripod legs?
