Tonight I am viewing m48 and noticed something quite interesting
about a grouping of stars near the center.
I would like to know if other scopes out there could split the double
in m48? and what size are you using?
I found using my 7 nagler with the lx200 12", I could split it quite nicely.

Your view might look a bit different. I have a mirror diagnal in which I
view from the side of the telescope, sitting on a chair.
One intersting thing when I was taking out my 40 SWA, I heard it rattling.
is that a really bad thing? I made sure the chrome skirt was in place
snug and it seemed that the optics are rattling. Anyone know what this
could be caused by? Should I return it to meade for another one?
