Hallo All,
At this moment I am using my LX200 in combination with Guide 5.0 and a
ST-7, and I love it very much.
But recently I have obtained a heavy German mounting with a 12.5 inch
Newton telescope. Though the 15 inch worm-wheels on both axes are
stepper-motor driven, the electronics can not handle computer control.
Are/is there an electronic-box on the market that can control the
telescope (by stepper or other motors) in combination with Guide 5.0 (or
The Sky or other) and the autoguider in the ST-7, or will there be in
the near future? I've read an ad in S&T May 97 page 9 from Quadrant
Engineering, it looks like the solution for my problem but it looks very
expensive too! Are there people who have experiences with this company
and their product?
Maybe there are electronic plans, so I could build a interface myself?
Any input, ideas or suggestions concerning this problem are appreciated.
With kind regards,
Albert
