Hale also was involved with the 100" Hooker at Mt. Wilson which is made
of wine bottles from France not Corning, the Corning mirror was the 200"
made in New York and was the second mirror they made. It is not a solid
mirror as the Hooker. Our club gives a yearly tour of the Hale 200" at
Mt. Palomar in July. Anyone interested give Penny at call at
1-800-483-6287, reservations only, 3 tours..............I'll be there
for all tours, I'm the guy that keeps people from throwing coins into the
mirror.............;-)
