Jon B. asked questions about the polar alignment procedure.

Yes, at this time of year there is a looonnngg wait as the LX200 slews
to Polaris and then slews back. And yes, I have to watch the DEC
cord.

Providing a 'flip' in the ROM would cause some major changes both the
to alignment logic and to the limit logic for movement. This is not
something that will happen soon, if at all.

To avoid this problem, you might try a polar alignment procedure that
does not involve the pole star. It does involve some calculations,
however.
