I took out my University Optics 80mm f6.25 refractor and took a look
at the Double-Double. Seeing was poor and transparency was fair
(we haven't had much to look at lately in S. Fla.). I had to use a 5mm
eyepiece before I could cleanly split them. That's at an even 100x.

If you want another good test, Nu Scorpii is another double-double.
After that, try Xi Scorpii (that's if the southern skies aren't to tough
