I have followed your instructions and advice but unfortunately to no
avail, this Fujitsu laptop just will not communicate. It will not work
neither with the telescope nor the CCD. The RS232 com port just does not
seem to communicate with anything. I have had it now for a few months
and nothing seems to work (as far as the serial com port is concerned),
and the problem of sending it from Venezuela to the US will probably
cause more problems then solutions, (probably get lost in the mail or
something).
Might you have any other suggestions, I would really appreciate them,
before taking the final decision of getting rid of it and buying a
different laptop.

It probably is. Aside of the serial com problem it's a beautiful little
machine!
