In PictorView 2.0 your talking about an automatic flat field exposure, the
second field down, followed by automatic dark frame. If your at home, you
can use the automatic flat field exposure to take a flat by putting a medium
gray card evenly illuminated in front of your scope. Observatories mount
a screen in the dome with lights to evenly illuminate it. Personally,
I prefer not using the auto flat function. Forget using it at a star party.
Good flats have a high signal to noise ratio.

For now, try using white plastic over the scope on an overcast day or
dawn/twilight. Index and mark the CCD orientation.
