Depends on the speed of the film youre using. Remember, the Moon is
essentially a sunlit object.

Film is your cheapest resource. Shoot many frames, changing the exposure
each time (its called "bracketing"), and be sure you keep accurate
notes on what exposure times you do, so you can compare them with the
finished shots to see what works best. If you keep a log book of all the
exposures you do, you can refer back to it in the future.

Without additional guiding, you wont be able to do exposures much past
5 minutes. Try something big and bright to start with, like M8.
