Subject: defective 416 CCD camera?

Dear amateur astronomers,

I just bought a Meade 416 CCD camera. I have used it a few time and find CCD
powerful but not easy to use. It seems to me that a strip of dead pixels
ALWAYS exist at the same place. I enclosed a .tif file of asteroid 532 I
took at Jan. 24 7:15 UT, could any expert in CCD please help and commend
whether my CCD is defective? Thank you very much.
