Wish you had a portable computer for your field observing or CCD site, but don't happen to have $3000 lying around for the latest Toshiba laptop? Maybe this will work for you:

Compaq 386/25 "lunchbox" portable (model 2670) as follows:

- size ~16"x7"x9" - weight abt 7-8 lbs. - AC power only (need inverter for battery operation) - 386DX25 processor (can add numeric co-processor) - 1MB ram (expandable to 10 MB - can run Windows with more ram) - 42MB disk (dblspaced to 80 MB) - 5 1/4" floppy drive - RED PLASMA CGA video screen & keyboard built in. (If you have ever tried to use a laptop, etc. and had it ruin you night vision for at least 10 minutes, you will appreciate the RED plasma screen.) - serial/parallel ports - video out for RGB monitor - does not accept boards, but can add expansion chassis for PC cards - comes with MS-DOS 6.0 & lots of legal astronomy software - usual (1991) Compaq "built like a tank" construction

This triumph of American High-Tech works great and is available for a pidling $250. Or I will trade for some combination of the following (w/wo cash adjust):

o illuminated reticle eyepieces (prefer Celeston micro-guide) o 30 mm or longer, 1 1/4" barrel wide angle eyepiece o Parks Gold eyepieces >25 mm or <15 mm o Ultima-8 PEC base (have non-PEC base) o CCD imager NOT using the T211 chip o or what have you

However, need to do this quick, preferably before the July 4th weekend.
