The answer to this is of keen interest to me as well! I just ordered an ETX
and rings, due to off-axis guider fatigue, and will be using the 201 and 9mm
in the same manner as Paul is hoping to. Paul, did you try swapping the 201
for the 9mm in the straight through position? I realize this is not a
solution, but Im curious how it worked, and at least you could do some
imaging. Trying another eyepiece at the right angle adapter, and moving the
201 outward in the straight-through adapter tube and refocusing, are other
things that I would try...
