I'm sorry I missed most of this thread. Is the goal to simply level a
telescope? Or to get a accurate "setting" so as to align the setting
circle? { as in a set DEC. to 90* operation } . . . I'm asking because if
the set DEC. to 90* operation is the goal, Then this is not only the hard way
but its also not very accurate.

I apologize for the waste of bandwidth if I'm missing the point here.

<< and finding a level that repeats on a level standard is indeed rare on the
$50 dollar and less catagory...

That's exactly the problem I have with mine. I suppose I could fix it with
a little tape wrapped around the right end... >>
