No, it's a private mailing list, currently owned and paid for by John
Hopper. He has
full authority to invite whoever he wants to his private party. You are a
guest. If you
treat another guest unfairly by using a "cuss" word outside of the mail
list, it is up to
John whether or not he feels he wants to keep you invited.

Why so strict? Because other MAPUG members such as R.A. have crossed the line,
apparently drumming up bogus email addresses and posting bogus messages on
Usenet
to discredit a MAPUG member. His activity was preceded by similar behavior.

Why else? Because on a mail list of mine, I have reported a virus being sent
from one
user to another due to a similar altercation.

Is this (being so strict) fair? No.

Does it make sense to be very careful, and try to short circuit altercations
born from
the mail list. Yes. (keeps us alive, well, and focused)

Bottom line? You have much to add to this mail list. Cut the swears and let
us learn
from you, with the respect you deserve.
